Plain-language summary. Daily Photo Mission is free, with an optional DPM Pro subscription. We don’t track you across other apps, run ads, or sell your data — and you keep ownership of every photo you make.
Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Daily Photo Mission app and the wyattsmithmedia.com website (together, the “Services”), operated by Wyatt Smith Media LLC (“we,” “us”). By using the Services you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Services.
Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use Daily Photo Mission. By using it you confirm you meet that requirement.
Your account
You can use the app as a guest or sign in with Apple. Signing in lets your streak, missions, and posts follow you across devices and re-installs. You’re responsible for activity under your account; keep your device and Apple ID secure.
Daily missions & the community
Missions are creative prompts offered for personal, non-commercial practice. Each mission has a unique code (e.g. #DPM12345) so the community can find one another’s work.
You can post your photos to the in-app community feed. You keep ownership of everything you post — but by posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, store, display, and distribute that content within the Services so other users can see it. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already shared with others.
If you also share to an outside platform (like Instagram) using a mission hashtag, that post is governed by that platform’s terms, not ours.
Be decent. Don’t post unlawful, harassing, infringing, or sexually explicit content, and don’t use the Services to harm others. We review reported content and may remove posts or suspend accounts that break these rules. You can report or block other users directly in the app.
Prompt submissions
If you send us a prompt idea, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use, adapt, and publish it within the Services, with optional credit to you. Please only submit ideas that are your own.
Purchases
The app is free to use. DPM Pro is an optional auto-renewable subscription, sold through Apple’s In-App Purchase, that unlocks Pro features such as Mission Packs, catch-up posting, and golden-hour alerts. It is currently $4.99/month or $29.99/year (current pricing is always shown in the app). Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase and renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings.
LUT Packs are sold separately on our website, not through the app, and are covered by the LUT License below.
Changes & availability
We may update, pause, or discontinue parts of the Services at any time. We’ll try to give reasonable notice of significant changes. The Services are provided “as is,” without warranties, to the extent the law allows.
Privacy Policy
We built Daily Photo Mission to be quiet — with your data, too. We collect only what the app needs to work, we don’t track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and we don’t sell your data.
What we collect, and why
Each of these is used solely for app functionality. None of it is used for tracking or advertising.
Where it lives
Your account and content are stored in Apple’s iCloud / CloudKit infrastructure tied to the app. Basic preferences are kept on your device, and location is processed on your device only. We don’t run our own advertising or analytics tracking SDKs.
What we don’t do
- No cross-app or cross-site tracking, and no tracking domains.
- No selling or renting your personal data.
- No third-party advertising networks.
Your choices
- You can use the app as a guest, without signing in.
- You can delete individual posts in the app.
- You can delete your account and all associated data directly in the app (Profile → Delete Account), or by emailing us.
- You can report or block other users from any post.
- You control photo-library, location, and notification permissions in iOS Settings at any time.
Children
Daily Photo Mission isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we’ll remove it.
App License (EULA)
The Daily Photo Mission app is licensed, not sold, to you under Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Apple Standard EULA”), available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. Your use of the app is governed by that agreement together with these Terms.
In addition, Pro content and downloadable files (Mission Packs, LUT Packs) are licensed to you for personal creative use only and may not be redistributed or resold — see the LUT License below for LUT-specific terms.
LUT & Print License
LUT Packs
When you purchase a LUT Pack, you receive a license to use the color-grading files in your own photo and video work, personal or commercial. You may deliver finished, graded work to clients.
You may not resell, share, sublicense, or redistribute the LUT files themselves, or include them in a product, preset pack, or template. The files remain the intellectual property of Wyatt Smith Media LLC.
Prints
Prints are sold for personal display. They may not be reproduced, scanned, or resold. Copyright in all photographs remains with Wyatt Smith Media LLC unless a separate written license is agreed.
